David's Favorite Breakfast

In general, people who eat breakfast have more energy and do better in school. Without breakfast, you can get irritable, restless, and tired. Today, we're gonna have some toast, eggs, and potatoes. I wish I had some bacon... Here are the ingredients (the amount is to your preference): Bread, vegetables, onions, eggs, salt, cheese, season peppers, oregano, butter.

The potatoes take the most time. First slice up your potatoes into tiny squares. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the potatoes and onions, and stir to coat. Let it cook, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender and golden brown. This takes about 15-20 minutes. After the potatoes are cooked, season with salt and pepper. I add oregano for the sake of taste too! ;) Set your potatoes aside.

While some slices of bread, with butter, are in the toaster, make scramble eggs. Eggs do not take long to make at all. Stir up a couple eggs in a pot until it's solid and fluffy. I like to add cheese to my eggs for texture and flavor. Add salt and pepper to your eggs if you like. Now place the potatoes, eggs, and bread slices onto a plate. Now it's ready to be served!

I love a meal that has a member of each food group. The cheese in the eggs belong to the dairy group. Eggs itself belong to meat and proteins. Bread is bread. Potatoes are vegetables and I added an apple to satisfy my fruit requirement. Today, I had soy milk as my drink. :)

I hope you enjoyed your breakfast as much as I did. Breakfast is indeed the most important meal of the day. Maybe next time, I'll show you how I make lunch with Potato Lasagna.
