My first Clay project (Butters from South Park)

I have so many hobbies. Collecting, drawing, photography,... There was one thing I've always wanted to explore. And that is making things out of clay! I did make a ring and a dinosaur in High School art class but that's about it. I was never much of a playdough boy...

So I bought a little tub of "Crayola's Air-Dry Clay". I took it home, laid out some newspaper, wetted my hands and just dug in! At the time, I was following an auction on Ebay for this action figure of Butters from South Park. So how about I save myself $40 and just make him myself huh?

So I molded him (which was harder than I thought) and then went to sleep so he could air-dry. When I woke up, he's all hard and ready to be painted!!

I use the paints that I use to touch up my collections. And then I used a permanent marker to draw his face. TADA!!! Behold my homemade Butters figure!

It's not bad... I can see, after time and practice, that I'll make some great works of art. Either way, this is definitely fun!
